Element number 0 is entered in a data record when a facet does not participate in generating an observation. If you wish to use element 0 as an active element number, and use another element number to indicate no facet participation, specify the other element number here. This null element number will apply to all facets.

 

Example: Element number 0 means "Short", and "1" means "Tall". "9" means "not applicable".
