ConQuest Rasch analysis software, Quest and Winsteps |
ConQuest Rasch analysis software was launched in 1997. Its current version is ACER ConQuest 5 (Adams, R.J, Wu, M.L, Cloney, D., and Wilson, M.R., 2020). It implements MMLE, and is the successor to Quest which implemented JMLE. Features of ConQuest include unidimensional and multidimensional Rasch models, and also the ability to estimate group-level ability estimates based on person response strings that are too sparse to support precise individual-person estimation. ConQuest can be used for the analysis of large sparse international datasets, such as TIMSS and PISA. ConQuest implements many estimation and IRT (non-Rasch) statistical methods not available in Winsteps, but has fewer input, output, plotting and analysis-control options. The standard maximum dataset size is 3,000 persons by 100 items. The extended maximum dataset size is 1,000,000,000 persons by 10,000 items. ConQuest can be operated interactively or in batch mode using a command file.
