1) Repeat the installation process. It will not delete any of your data files.

2) Check that Winsteps runs on an example dataset, e.g., exam1.txt

3) If the program will not run, or produces implausible results:

a) It may be a Windows-related problem, see www.winsteps.com/problems.htm

b) There may not be enough disk space for work files, see "Not enough disk space".

c) There may not be sufficient RAM memory to execute. See "Not enough memory".

d) It may be a text-editor problem, see Changing your Editor setting.

4) If you still have problems, use the comment form at www.winsteps.com

Winsteps is Windows 64-bit software, but includes older 32-bit modules for importing data, exporting data and plotting.

 

The most common failures are 32-bit modules.

 

Solution: select 64-bit modules instead of 32-bit modules.

Edit menu

Edit Initial Settings

Click on 64-bit options

OK  (the change happens immediately)
