This optimizes for the freeware Rasch analysis program, Ministep, (or its full version, Winsteps), the examples in Trevor Bond & Christine Fox (2001) "Applying the Rasch Model: Fundamental Measurement in the Human Sciences", Mahwah NJ: Lawrence Erlbaum Associates. (Available from IOM.)
Version 3.37 or higher of Ministep or Winsteps is required for some output.
Winsteps numerical results may differ somewhat from those in Bond & Fox
due to differences in estimation procedures.
